[ After you enter the realm, there's a young girl and a robotic cat at the front desk in the lobby of a hospital next to a computer and a very large 3D printer. ]

or perhaps, skipping past them, you might encounter a young man straightening the playroom. any one of them will politely turn to meet you: ]

Greetings, user. How may we help you?

OOC Notes: Art linked on this page was specifically commissioned from Fiship and Shibara of Tumblr; character concepts (c) to Verisimilitude of Plurk, character designs & artwork (c) to their respective artists; please do not claim as your own. if you're interested, both of these lovely people are available to commission and are well worth your money!

Cart's Physical Appearance: A short text description, images, or a combination will suffice. We want to know what your cart looks like / what's been customized.
Special Items Used: List them please!
Unique Item: Please describe what the unique item is, how it relates to the cart's over-all theme, and why it was chosen.
Strategy: What kind of strategy did you have in mind while choosing your items?

RULES

1.       Teams have one overall goal: work together to design a racing kart specific and symbolic to their team, especially based around the team's themes and/or mascot animal. There are two components to this: Cosmetic, and functional.

2.       The cosmetic component has to do with the physical design / look of the cart. GO WILD. Your car could be anything from a space ship to an ice cream cone or an actual NASCAR. Whatever your team deems most appropriate for themselves, we only require that the cart still be drive-able in the end. Elements that you can mess with include:

·            Customizable steering wheel

·            Customizable tire rims

·            Customizable paint job

·            Customizable tires

·            Customizable head & tail lights

·            Customizable seats

·            Customizable frames & body

·            Customizable doors

·            Customizable decorative mounts (for front and back)

·            Customizable windshields & windows

Basically, everything is customizable in appearance, so go wild.

Examples:  Tires that look like marshmallows or have studs. A tiny horse mounted to the grill or the hood of the car. Cars that resemble dessert.

3.       Aside from the actual physical design, teams will be allowed to equip their cart with special offensive and defensive equipment. This is the functional component of the game. Please refer to the following chart for your available options. Your team may have up to:

·         9 blue items.

·         4 yellow items.

·         3 pink items.

·         2 green items.

·         2 orange items.

·         1 red item.

4.       You do not have to use any of the items but are encouraged to use as many as you can/you deem to make sense (see the winning categories  in item 5).

5.       Every team's cart comes with a unique ~special attack~ that you, as the team, will determine and incorporate into your cart. Thematically it should be in some way related to your team's theme, mascot animal, or patron. Have fun and be creative!

EXAMPLE:
Team Ogre creates an onion launcher that launches diced raw onions at combatant carts to make them cry. OH NOEZ. Or Team Unicorn creates a giant horn mounted to the front of their car that resembles a unicorn's to ram into opponent carts

6.       After designing their carts, teams will submit their designs to Units. (OOCly, turn in is due by February 7 at 4:00 PM EST. ) (EDIT: We have changed the original date/time to accommodate the slower threading speed and availability of players.)

7.       All of the designs will then be displayed for people to (ICLY) vote on. The categories teams will rate each others' creations on are:

·         Most Creative

·         Cutest

·         Silliest

·         Coolest

·         Most Strategically Designed

·         Best Unique Attack

8.       In addition to teams voting, we will have special guest judges from our resident echoes, The Hearth, Jo, Nene, and the Queen herself. All votes must be received by 10PM EST on Sunday, February 7th in order to be counted.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask either Sipp or Gil. You can find us on plurk at Sippycup and Verisimilitude respectively.

Suddenly, the globes expand, revealing themselves to be tables with seats enough for each teams' members. In the center of the table is a cylinder that is hollow but lit up from the inside, and in front of this cylinder two buttons, one marked "Objective One" and the other marked "Objective Two."

[ as the cards are being passed out, the "oldest" (at least by appearances) robot says: ]

Thank you for attending today's game. Today's game is conducted as research to better understand variations in human senses of humor, morality, and politically correctness. As such, we will be exposing you to subjects we believe would normally be considered ludicrous, inappropriate, or perhaps even wildly offensive.

You may at any point choose to discontinue your portion of this trial if you so wish; the doors today will remain open, and all you must do is sign a waiver agreeing that you understand your efforts can no longer be used for scoring should you terminate your participation early. With that in mind, we respectfully hope that you will keep an open mind and assist us with our experiment. We look forward to seeing the results of your hard work.

[ there is a chime of a bell, and suddenly the echoes are among the crowd, directing those still mingling at the punch bowls and tables of food toward their assigned seats (though whether they stay there, of course, is their own business.

the rules are read to them and the cards dealt out ]

If there are no questions, please begin.

Please use the following form for turn-in so that I can try to determine winners as soon as possible.

"Shares" refers to the number of memories your character shared (but only the ones that actually counted toward the wristband; if a character accidentally shared one another's previously seen, it doesn't count toward their total). Please also be sure to link to the share in-thread and not to the memory in the registry.

I've provided a sample below so you can see what I'm looking for, but if you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask for clarification.

Turn-in is due by Sunday, 11:59 PM CST, but you may submit early and edit your information until Monday, 12:00 AM CST.

Thank you!
